GI Go Fund Provides Over $10,000 In Shoprite Gift Cards To Over 100 Veterans Struggling With Hunger During The COVID-19 Pandemic

Gift cards provided in partnership with Bob Woodruff Foundation and Soldier On to needy veterans living in temporary housing in the NY/NJ area.

Pete Badaway, an Iraq War Army veteran and Bronze star recipient and one of the Veteran Entrepreneurs part of GI Go Fund’s Award Winning Veteran Incubator in Newark, NJ, showcases his company on the season premiere of ABC’s “Shark Tank”

Army veteran Pete Badaway and his wife Bianca created an innovative product called GarmaGuard that cleanses and sanitizes clothing in 2017; Couple’s company became part of GI Go Fund’s incubator in 2019 for help with growing their business and obtaining needed certifications from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA); Company has since sold nearly $500,000 worth of their product, and are in line to receive official certification from the FDA that their spray kills bacteria, including the coronavirus

GI Go Fund Delivering Essential Items to Veteran Families In Need Across NY/NJ Area

Organization that has championed the needs of veterans since 2006 is providing deliveries of clothes and essential items to military families in need throughout the New York/New Jersey region leading up to Veterans Day; the group was forced to cancel its Stand Down for Homeless Veterans this year due to the pandemic, so it is instead bringing the event to veterans throughout the area by providing hundreds of clothing items to homeless and at-risk veterans

A team of nearly 60 Navy SEALs and military supporters swam across the Hudson River from Liberty State Park to lower Manhattan to honor our military veterans, their families, and all of those who died during 9/11 and the wars that followed that fateful day; SEALs swam to benefit GI Go Fund and its mission to support veterans in getting the services they need

From June 29 - July 3, ViacomCBS and affiliated CBS stations will encourage their viewers to wear Red, White, and Blue in honor of Independence Day and donate $5 or more to GI Go Fund; CBS will match donations made throughout the campaign by its employees
