GI Go Fund Joins Friends of Coach DeJulia Golf Tournament as Event Beneficiary
GI Go Fund representatives joined veterans, community supporters, and fellow beneficiaries for a memorable day of golf at Ballyowen Golf Club.
The GI Go Fund was honored to participate in the Friends of Coach DeJulia Annual Golf Tournament on Monday, August 3, 2026, at Ballyowen Golf Club in Hamburg, New Jersey.
Organized by the Coach DeJulia Fund and led by John DeJulia, the annual tournament brought golfers together to support several important causes. Proceeds from the event will benefit the GI Go Fund, PGA HOPE and its work with veterans, the Albertus Magnus High School Golf Team, and breast cancer awareness efforts through Walden Bank.
The tournament featured a 12:45 p.m. shotgun start, on-course contests, raffles, meals, and opportunities for sponsors and golfers to support veterans, students, first responders, and other members of the community.

GI Go Fund executives had the pleasure of golfing alongside professional caddie and U.S. Navy veteran Luis Delossantos, who also represented PGA HOPE. PGA HOPE, which stands for Helping Our Patriots Everywhere, uses golf to support veterans and introduce them to the game in an inclusive and welcoming environment.
The day also provided an opportunity for GI Go Fund leaders and participating veterans to spend time together outside of their normal work supporting the military community.
“Events like the Friends of Coach DeJulia Golf Tournament demonstrate what can happen when people come together around a shared commitment to service,” said Alex Manis, Executive Director of the GI Go Fund. “We are incredibly grateful to John DeJulia, the Coach DeJulia Fund, the sponsors, golfers, and everyone who helped make this event possible. Their support will help us continue creating opportunities and delivering critical services for veterans and their families.”
Ballyowen provided a striking setting for the tournament. Designed by Roger Rulewich, the course is known for its wide fairways, fescue-lined roughs, rolling terrain, and sweeping views. Inspired by the traditional links courses of Ireland and Scotland, Ballyowen combines challenging golf with the natural beauty of the Wallkill River Valley.
The GI Go Fund extends its sincere appreciation to John DeJulia and the entire Coach DeJulia Fund team for selecting the organization as one of the tournament’s beneficiaries. GI Go also thanks the golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and PGA HOPE veterans whose participation made the outing a success.
